About
Kafa coffee
Our coffee beans originate from the wild Kafa forest located in Ethiopia around 300 miles southwest of Adis Ababa. This is said to be the birthplace of coffee. It is a genuinely magnificent Forrest which is now protected and located within a biosphere reserve. Every step of this process in our coffee pays homage to the protection and preservation of these forests and is at the forefront of our mission objectives.
Our
Story
for everybody
Coffee grown all around the world can trace its heritage back centuries to the ancient coffee forests on the Ethiopian plateau. There, the legend says the goat herder Kaldi first discovered the potential of these beloved beans. We wanted to pay respect to this legendary tale and put this as the focus of our coffee.
Our
Brand
Kafa coffee
Our Brand wanted to encapsulate the importance of this beautiful land as well as the legends that are still told to this day. We want to reconnect people who enjoy coffee with its birthplace. The focus is on taking people on a journey " back to the roots" of where coffee began. Our symbol of the tree links people back to the forests where this story all began.
Our
Coffee
Kafa coffee
The fundamental value we hold at Kafa coffee is bringing the best quality coffee to our customers. These coffee beans are naturally processed (dried with the cherry fruit still attached to the coffee bean). Our beans have a light to medium body, with complex flavour notes. These all come together to bring you the best flavour experience.
The
Experience
Kafa coffee
In each step of the preparation, we aim to create an experience that lives up to the legend. Our coffee beans are full of flavour, with fruity and floral notes. The natural process means that our beans are infused more heavily with fruited notes, such as blueberry, and contain deep chocolate undertones with a syrupy body.
